Hi all,
In this past week two significant things have happened. I celebrated my 50th birthday and an acquaintance of mine, (I would not call him a friend), died.
These two things happening in the same week and the way in which they happened have caused me to reflect upon life a bit more than usual.
First of all I would like to say a very big "Thank You!" to the personalised Krystal Klere bottle of champagne sent to me my Krystal Klere Internet Fan Club. (And I didn't even know I had one!) This was organised by the Acting Moderator Neil. Thank you Neil.
I drank the champagne on the eve of my birthday along with my husband before we went out to dinner with other friends. I had woken up in the room where I was born earlier that day before coming back to London.
I had lots of fantastic presents including ones from both my ex-husbands and two ex-boyfriends! I also got a fantastic present called "The Orgasmatron" from a group of girlfriends, some of whom had been lovers of mine in the past.
I had presents from Pagan friends and also from my foster children and God children. I also had many others including 350 emails wishing me "Happy Birthday". However the most amazing present I got, which came collectively from some cyber friends I have, (I run a cyber "agony aunt" column), was 50 gold and silver pieces of jewellery hanging from a "Birthday Tree"! Amazing!
I have had five birthday parties already with different groups of friends and have two more to go. (I am going to one this evening). And I have one final dinner with my husband and his last and most important present!
So I want to thank everyone who sent me a present, a card, an e-card, well wishes of any type and also everyone who organised or attended any events held to celebrate my 50th birthday. My life is awash with love and I am very appreciative of that fact.
