Love Ye One Another

Hi all,

Jesus said "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another"John 13:34-35 (The Holy Bible)

Yesterday I was on a Treasure Hunt with friends in the middle of London and we came upon a man lying collapsed in the middle of the pavement. This was about 7.00 on a Tuesday evening. And do you know what people did? They just walked around him. I was shocked and horrified. And I don't think it is just to do with London. I have come across similar things in other foreign large cities.

Anyhow we did not pass him by. He appeared to be drunk and asleep, but I am not a doctor and could not say that he was categorically. In any event, even if he was, he still needed help. So we summoned a couple of Community Police Support Officers and they took over looking after him.

If I ask you to do anything on this blog it is this: please do not walk by on the other side. One day it may be you, or some-one you love needing help. Love isn't just a word, or a feeling, ultimately it is an action. So I would ask of you only this: please live love.

To quote George Bernard Shaw:-

"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.

Life is no 'brief candle' for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for a short moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

I could not agree more with this statement.

On another note about action. I am going to the 30th Festival for Mind, Body and Spirit this weekend with a friend of another religion. It will be fantastic because I went to the first one when I was a graduate student in London in 1977!

I'll report back!

Until then,

Blessed be,

KK

There are Two Sides to Everything (at Least!)

Hi all,

I am still working on the birthday entry as I want to post some photo's in the members area and I have not had all of my birthday celebrations yet. So that is a work is progress at the moment!

Just for today's entry I wanted to concentrate on the Pagan belief that there are two sides, (at least), to everything. Light and dark are two sides of the same coin, and not two separate, and warring entities, as perceived by some religions for instance. There is light and shadow in everything, and both, in the right circumstances are correct.

Being as I am a believer in the paranormal and spiritual worlds I thought it was only right that I investigated the skeptical side of things. So last night I attended a meeting for skeptics and listened to a talk by a speaker who was a physicist and also believed in the paranormal. Then there were questions and answers. It was incredibly interesting and I had some very detailed, (and a little bit heated), discussions with people.

The picture that you see above emphasizes to two predominant sides of human nature. The dragon (the shadow) side and the fairy (the light or iridescent) side. And both are valid and necessary.

So for the skeptics :-

"Materialists and mad men never have doubts". (G.K.Chesterton)

And for those who claim to know, (as opposed to believe) :-

"Doubt is not a pleasant condition but certainty is an absurd one". (Voltaire)

Until next time,

Blessed be,

KK

PS Whilst researching on another subject I also came across two other quotes I thought worthy enough to bring to your attetnion. As you know I recently turned 50 and so am entering my croning years. Many changes have occurred and some of them have thrown me. In a rapidly changing world many people are fearful but the Universe works in mysterious ways and for those who fear change read this:-

"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls....the butterfly."---Richard Bach, author

And finally to skeptics this:-

"For those who believe, no proof is necessary, for those who do not believe, no proof is possible."--John & Lyn St. Clair Thomas, Eyes of the Beholder.

I am Hard at Work Now on Publishing the BooK! Hurray!

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted for sometime now, I've had a touch of flu - I'm OK now though. However thanks to all those people who have communicated with me through my new email address. I do promise you I will try to answer all your emails as soon as possible. And fulfill advanced book orders.

I am also still working on my birthday entry, (as the celebrations are sill going on!). So thank you to every-one who sent me presents and cards. I have sent an email to every one I can think of to say thanks, but want to thank all of you publicly in this blog for thinking about me.

I am sorry but I have to say no to people who have asked me to do personalised poems for them. I'm sorry but I do not offer this service. My poetry is for humanity in general

Until next time,

Blessed be,

KK
